The Discipline to Lead and the Heart to Care
“actions lead to results” When I think about leadership, I don’t see it as a single skill. I see it as a balance, almost a tension, between what we might call the science of leadership and the art of leadership. The science is structure. It’s systems, consistency, accountability. It’s what can be taught, measured, and repeated. The art is different. It’s sensitivity. It’s timing. It’s understanding people. It’s what can’t always be quantified, but is always felt.
